Your feelings on this one are my feelings as well. The ponderously heavy-handed narration does nothing for this episode, and I would have enjoyed it much more without. But I do love the sparks that fly when Emma and Hannah meet!
One AU I've been curious to read is the one where Team Worst Good Guys saved Olivia from Kirschner back when they had the chance. It's too bad she turned into Cartoon Scenery-Chewing Villain in S4, though I do enjoy this final battle of wills between her and Katarina.
The next episode makes up for the heavy-handedness of this one, IMO! Edit: sorry, not the next episode—the one after that, I meant. (4.09)
